Pōkeno Origin is the flagship single malt from Pōkeno Whisky Company, founded in New Zealand's Waikato region by Matt Johns, a former Scotch industry executive who set out to prove that New Zealand could make world-class malt. Origin is matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, which suit the distillery's fruity, clean spirit, and bottled at 43% ABV, non chill-filtered, in a 700ml bottle. It is the easiest place to start with Pōkeno. The whisky is bright gold with meadow flowers, honey, orchard fruit and vanilla on the nose. The palate is velvety with crisp apple and pear, gentle maltiness, subtle spice and a touch of toffee, and the finish is warm and lasting with oak, honey and a floral lift. New Zealand's mild, humid climate gives Origin maturity beyond its years. A great everyday malt and a fine introduction to Kiwi whisky.Buy Pōkeno Origin Aotearoa New Zealand Single Malt Whisky online with fast shipping right to your door.
