Batiste Rhum Agricole Ecoiste Reserve｜ Other Products

Reserve is the oldest expression Batiste makes, and it's where the brand's cane juice rhum turns into something to sip. The base is the same as the rest of the range — Batiste is the only American rum made from single-origin fresh sugarcane juice rather than molasses, grown, pressed, fermented, and distilled on Marie-Galante, the small island south of Guadeloupe inside the French agricole denomination, at a solar-powered plantation distillery, run once through a steam-heated column still with a copper top. It's the first American craft rum with a carbon-negative production cycle, offsetting roughly three kilograms of CO2 per bottle. The Reserve then ages at least 18 months in level-4 char ex-rye whiskey barrels in Napa, California — some batches closer to two years — and is bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV) with no sugar, flavor, or color added. Expect a rich amber pour with turbinado sugar, hot toffee, and caramel on the nose alongside a distinct rye whiskey note, opening into a big, assertive palate where toasty oak and vanilla complement the mild cane juice funk, finishing long and spicy. Caskers calls it big, rich, and assertive; Botanica calls it an affordable rhum vieux to mix with and a wonderful sipper. It's the Batiste for whiskey drinkers — pour it neat, or build a Rum Old Fashioned or Manhattan riff that tastes like cane and rye had a child.Buy Batiste Rhum Agricole Ecoiste Reserve online with fast shipping right to your door.
