The Detail Edit｜ Other Products ｜Alex Mendoza y sus Poetas Del Ritmo: ¡Cumbéalo! Vinyl 7"

Names You Can Trust with yet another funky nugget!, Alex Mendoza y sus Poetas Del Ritmo is a newly formed ensemble led by Max Weissenfeldt of Poets of Rhythm/Whitefield Brothers fame along with Peruvian guitarist Alex Mendoza. Together they lay down some seriously eclectic grooves on wax that combine psychedelic guitar with late 60's funk & soul, West African Rhythms, Ethiopian and Afro-Peruvian cumbia. Check the sound on "Cumbealo!" and "Bu-Ga-Lu." So much flavor! Recommended.
