Early Bird Deal｜Chopin Vodka Vera Wang｜ Other Products

Vera Wang approached Chopin, not the other way around. The fashion designer is a longtime fan of the Polish potato vodka, and she collaborated with the Dorda family on a limited edition made to her own specifications. Per VinePair, Wang personally chose the Augusta potato — a small yellow variety with blood-red flecks on its skin, grown in the Podlasie region — for the distinctly sweet, earthy flavor it lends the distillate. The vodka is made at the family's estate in the village of Krzesk in eastern Poland, a house that dates to 1896, distilled four times in a copper column, filtered, and bottled at 40% ABV. The bottle wears a matte black-and-white finish, a nod to the palette of Wang's bridal designs, and it's built to be given: this is the Chopin for a wedding, an anniversary, or a bar cart that cares about how things look. Expect the Chopin house signature — a clean nose with a whisper of earth, a soft, silky, full-bodied palate — with the Augusta potato adding a touch more sweetness and a rounder, creamier character than the standard black-label bottling, finishing smooth and gentle with no burn. Honest note: it's a limited edition and a collaboration, priced accordingly; the liquid is a variation on Chopin's theme rather than a departure. For a Martini at a celebration, a toast, or neat from the freezer with something elegant to eat, it's vodka as a design object.
