The Inspiration Edit｜Thames & Cosmos Wind Power Renewable Energy Science Educational Kit｜ Other Products

Wind energy is one of the most promising sources of clean and renewable power available today. This Thames&Kosmos Wind Power Renewable Energy Science Educational Kit allows students to build a realistic model of a wind turbine. It includes an electric generator and rotor blades that can be adjusted. The blades are designed with aerodynamic curves to resemble those used in modern wind turbines.Students can use the built-in hand crank to experience how energy is generated through movement. They can carry out experiments to improve the turbine's performance by changing the angle of the blades. The kit also shows how wind energy can be used to light an LED. Additionally, it can quickly charge an electric capacitor, which then powers a small electric car demonstrating a practical use of stored electricity. The kit comes with a full-colour, 32 page manual that includes step-by-step instructions and scientific explanations. It covers different types of wind turbines and windmills, the history of wind power, and how wind energy can be used to supply electricity to homes and vehicles. This updated version features a redesigned blade hub and improved gear ratio, making it work better both outdoors in natural wind and indoors with a fan. The model car has also been upgraded so it runs on an electric capacitor that fully charges in just two minutes
